Re: Software release, 07/11/2017
I installed this latest software version and successfully transferred my settings using the separate program. Things seem to be working OK, but for some reason the machine seems to be losing its position during stop placements or pauses. I haven't done much data collection on the error scenarios. Bu...

Re: Components stay sticked to nozzle a lot
I ran through a handful of boards over this past week and had a similarly frustrating experience when my parts would stick to the nozzle. There was one run where I tried to place a quantity of ten resistors in 0603 package, and I think 8 of them just stayed on my nozzle after hitting the board and s...

Re: Nozzle calibration always fails
Which circle has to meet the radius constraints? If I take a "measure" it selects the smaller one (in the log window). I'm not sure which circle (if multiples are found) the calibration routine will choose. But you want to select the radius values that correspond to the circle that actual...

Re: Nozzle calibration always fails
I ran into some trouble with the calibration failing as well. I believe you need to play around with the "Vision Parameters" for each nozzle you're trying to calibrate. Set the min and max size which corresponds to the acceptable radius measurements for each nozzle. For some reason, the de...

Calibrate Needle Height with new CP40 nozzles
I was just wondering what the nominal values for the back-off and placement depth should be for the new nozzles in the upgrade kit. The auto height calibration routine yielded a back-off value of 0.50. I tried adjusting the z-limit low switch to get the back-off greater than 1mm (as the documentatio...

Re: Software release, 11/3/2016
Not a big deal, but my jog using the NUMPAD3 does not move the Y axis in the same proportion to the X axis. I haven't used this function before, so I haven't noticed it.

Re: Short Tip for Update Kit Assembly
Thanks for the tip. I received my update kit as well. I haven't assembled the nozzle holders yet, but I am curious how much force is required to insert and remove the nozzles to the vacuum head? Just playing around with it manually so that I can measure wobble, and it seemed that it was taking a lot...

Re: Openpnp
Yes, I had an issue with the homing of Z, Jason made some suggestions on how to overcome that problem, but that did not work. It drives the Z-Axis down when it searches the Limit-Switch. It should drive it up. Jason suggested to rewire the Limit-Switch, but that would not change the wrong direction...

Re: Motors Squealing Loudly
I notice the same thing on my machine as well.
When the motors are trying to hold certain positions, it does squeal. I haven't had the chance to investigate much further.

Re: Modular feeders + tray for cut SMD strips and single par
This is such a convenient and well thought out design. How can I get my hands on one? Will you sell the parts or release the CAD files? Excellent work!
