Re: Software release, 07/11/2017

Hi Juha, I want to try the transfer function of this new software, but I have noticed that both executables in the zip file are exactly the same size. I also expected the "settings transfer" program to just run and transfer the settings, but they both seem to start trying to do the same th...

Re: unusual placement offset

Now that I've reloaded and restarted, I cant get it to do it again, sorry Juha. Apologies for wasting your time... I have notice, however, that every time the pump comes on and off(manual control or program control), the XY move back and forth a little (0.5mm). Is this normal? Also, I find it very e...

Re: unusual placement offset

Hi Juha, I have looked through my notes, and I see something I wrote above is misleading... In trying to troubleshoot, I reloaded the CAD data, and the numbers that I wrote above are incorrect (they are after reloading the CAD data, not from when the calcuations didn't add up) So now that my head is...

unusual placement offset

Hi, I'm finding that the placement accuracy on the run that I am doing to be a bit off. The main difference from my last run is the PC software version, but I'm not ruling out user error at all... What I am finding is that certain components are about 0.6mm offset. (the offset seems inconsistent fro...

Re: Simplifying Parts / Components Setup

I too, am interested to see the suggestions here, because the parts setup time is the one thing preventing me from using the liteplacer more often, in fact, some time I simply dread getting it up and running because of the component setup. The machine is great, and performs like a dream, but I can h...

Re: Spring loaded adapter affecting nozzle height calibratio

A bit off-topic: Anyone knows how Mechatronic's height measurement works? https://youtu.be/3kkf6bktIHA?t=37s I am not sure if it is a mechanism in the nozzle or in the "metal" cube they use to determine component height... Cheers Malte Malte, I'm only guessing, but there could be an FSR u...

Mawa,

I have done a (very amateur) video of my nozzle change setup and operation if you are interested...

I too found some nozzles required more force than others, but they do seem to be loosening up with use.

Re: Spring loaded adapter affecting nozzle height calibratio

so it seems that there is no perfect solution for adjusting the tube springs, as everyone has variation in bearing friction, CP40 nozzle force, and likely probe switch force/distance too. So what I take from this is: - adjust the bearings as best as you can - use some lubricant on the bearings (i us...
