Re: Can't figure out camera to needle calibration
Still working on it, but now my machine has another problem where the Z axis causes the connection to break with any small jog movements, (F11 or F12 or F11/F12+shift). The machine head doesn't move, the program hangs, then throws up error: "CNC-Z: Timeout / CNC connection cut!" Homing an...

Re: Ovens
I have been using a cheap skillet for reflow soldering. As long as the components are placed good enough than it works with no problems. But when you have components that have stricter temperature limits like MEMS sensors or RH sensors this method lacks in controllability. Vapor phase seems the most...

Re: Current status of the manual assisted placement.
I do not see why you couldn't manually assist / Jog the parts into place in the current state of software. The finest resolution that the jog allows is 0.01mm which should be plenty. Somewhere at the end of this week / weekend I will test this with a few 0.5mm qfn chips on a design I have to assembl...

PLA material, there is no "feelable" play sideways or up/down. This is really simple and works great!

Re: More robust vacuum picking for components
I havt to decide if i'm gonna keep the springs in the holder or just hot glue that tap thingy so it does not also spring as it might not have enough resistance for the z lim switch to trigger.
