Discard distance is too small or pixel size is not set.

When you set up the algorithm and “show processing” or “show results” indicate some features being recognized, the measurement process filters bad or spurious results. First by size (smaller (such as camera/processing noise) and larger results than the set limits are thrown away), then by distance (result candidates that are further away the image center than the limits are discarded). The goal is to have one, unique result left. These limits are set in lower right on visual processing setup.

The measurement system tries several times to get a result, that’s why the multiple messages. The message says that after the filtering, no results were left.

To diagnose, first get the show processing to show some recognition. Click “measure”, and you get a list of all candidates, with size and distance info in pixels and in mm’s, and also the results after the above filters. (You might need to scroll the log window to see it all.)
