Bug fix for 10/28 release:

http://www.liteplacer.com/Downloads/Lit ... 1_2016.exe

Bug Fixes on this version

* Fixed issue on machines with multiple serial ports, improved connecting diagnostics
* Fixed saved tapes file loading issue, introduced on 10/28 release

=================================================================
Original announcement:

Build date 10/28/2016

http://www.liteplacer.com/Downloads/Lit ... 0_2016.exe

New Features, significant changes

* It is now possible to use coordinates directly bypassing optical measurements
* Place fast is now the default method
* Made X, Y, Z, A labels on Goto section to buttons, allowing precise moving one axis at a time

Bug Fixes

* Moved tape measuring and nozzle change deeper into the process, eliminating some unnecessary operations
* Added back return to previous position to test buttons
* Reset Zs on selected rows on Tape locations did not work as intended
* Minor layout changes

------

A couple of items here are worth of a few words of explaining:

"Made X, Y, Z, A labels on Goto section to buttons, allowing precise moving one axis at a time":

The low right section of the software now looks like this:

If you click the X, Y, Z or A buttons, the other axis are not affected. So, if you want to go 9.5mm to right, put 9.5 to the box by the X button, select "Relative" and click the X button.

"It is now possible to use coordinates directly bypassing optical measurements":

This allows jig placed parts placement. This is significant because on placing ICs, the accuracy has been limited. Now the machine can know exactly where a part is picked up. With good and careful calibration, placing fine pitch ICs can be done:

:)

Also, this gives better support for strip holders and feeders.

As I see you listen and you have fixed few things said before I ll continue :)
Anyway, tnx for listening.
1. It is just stupid on error detected (hole not found etc...) to have msg "All components placed" when they are not.
2. Software needs to save value of A rotation after crash because this is main problem. Once you calibrate nozzle and machine goes to error state when for example A was 270 degrees , when you do reboot A is again set to 0 and not at 270 degrees and again you need to do calibration.
3. Maybe we should have option when hole isn't detected that camera should skip that hole and search for the next one, only next one. For example in +Y.

Not a big deal, but my jog using the NUMPAD3 does not move the Y axis in the same proportion to the X axis. I haven't used this function before, so I haven't noticed it.

I'm having a bit of a problem.
I aligned my tape for Y+ and tape 8/2mm.
It does find the hole correctly, but it doesn't find the part correctly.
Here are some screenshots when I tested.

As you can see, there is something wrong with the Y offset for part 1 and part3.
Is it something I'm doing wrong or a bug?

I don't know; please show your tape definition. Either send me your tapes file or right click the tape, select edit and send/post a screenshot of the window that comes up.

Nevermind.
I didn't know about the edit option.
When I opened, I was surprised it was set as custom, even though I originally set as 8/2mm.
I changed to 8/2mm and it worked fine.

Just noticed this release is rotating A 270 deg when it could be rotating 90 deg to save motor wear

Yes. :-( Worse, when stars align wrong, it could rotate 359.95 degrees when 0.05 degrees other direction would do.
