Nice Demo PCB for Setup + Testing by OpenPNP community

Post by mrandt »

Hi,

Anthony Webb produced and published a nice Demo PCB on OpenPNP Github:

https://github.com/openpnp/openpnp/tree ... mo%20Board

Look for "Demo Board V2" Gerbers.

The PCB is double-sided and contains many packages / footprints commonly used (no QFN or BGA though).

Edit: There is actually a QFN32 on top layer; missed that on first glimpse ;-)

The copper layer also includes features to calibrate the camera and check for distortion (mm rulers + square of known size).

I think this might be very useful for testing, calibrating and benchmarking any PnP - including our beloved LitePlacers :-D

I had a bunch of these made - I used Anthony's design so credits go to him :-)

Only thing I changed was the mm-ruler on the back side. I figured that having that in copper would be more accurate than silkscreen.

I have about 6 of these boards left, let me know if you want one for shipping and expenses.

Cheers

I have a few of these left as well, if anyone is interested. They are a bit updated with copper ruler, added .5mm ticks as well. There are some 0201's on there for good measure as well. Ruler is on both sides now, a few tweaks. Find them here: https://www.tindie.com/products/anthony ... pcb-board/

You can also find updated gerbers in the repo.
