Pickup operation is done using vacuum. (Not really a vacuum, just moderate suction:-) ).
There are two components on the vacuum: The pump and a three way solenoid valve: These are normally operated automatically, but here you can turn them on and off manually
“Pump On” turns the vacuum pump on.
“Vacuum On” switches the vacuum suction to the pickup nozzle using the three way valve. The off position switches the air flow to the nozzle to outside air, releasing the vacuum and the part.
With “invert” on both sections, you can reverse the polarity of the control signals. This might be useful, if you are using non-standard components or electronic connections.
“Pickup vacuum time” controls the vacuum build up time. When the nozzle is placed on part and the vacuum is turned on during a pickup operation, the software waits this long for the vacuum to get a grip of the part before lifting the nozzle.
“Vacuum release time” controls the placement operation. When the nozzle placed a part, the valve releases the suction. Software waits this long for the vacuum to let go of the part before the nozzle is lifted up.
