First: The machine in my lab is the prototype of the first version, the plates and cable chains are different. (Please see the blog entry https://liteplacer.com/experiences-with-chinese-manufacturing-and-selling-business/ for background.) I haven’t taken the effort to take the machine apart and rebuild it to match exactly the current production version, so I don’t have images to show how the chain along the Y bar goes on a built machine. I hope the illustrations below are clear enough, even though they use plain parts. If not, please get in touch!
X Chain
Here is how to attach the chain end to the Z motor plate. The chain points to left at this point:
Bend the chain over and attach the other end to Y roller right plate like this:
Y Chain
Attach one end to X motor plate, so that the chain point to the front of the machine:
Bend the chain over and attach the end to the backside of corner pillar using the plate supplied:
