0201s? Are you serious? Don’t you realize how tiny those are?
I do, but I had to try anyway. To give you an idea about the challenge, here is a picture of couple:
In the second picture, the 0201 resistors are those small flakes under the m’s; the “big” part is a 0805 resistor.
So, what happened when I tried? The answer is close, but not quite good enough, at least on standard footprint:
The conclusion is that on standard footprint, the accuracy is not quite enough for reliable soldering. By tweaking the footprint you might get better results, but I don’t recommend it for routine use.
