Gantry, Step 7: Flexible Mounting of Z-Motor Nut

First, turn the motor shaft a few times to get a feel about how easily it should turn when there are no tensions. Attach the nut plate to top of the gantry with three flexible mounts, as illustrated; you need to turn the shaft to do this. There is some play in all plate holes, including the motor mount. Tighten all bolts and nuts, making sure that the motor turns freely and there are no tensions along the whole span of the travel. Keep an eye for flexing or other signs of tension.
