Re: Liteplacer ODrive demo
Odrive is a control board to drive brushless DC motors with acceleration trajectory and encoder feedback loop. Yes I know... i was one of the kickstarter backers for mechaduino , and probably one of the first people outside TropicalLabs to have one because I got impatient and oredered my own boards...

Re: Vacuum Solenoid Valves
I noticed that the solenoid gets pretty hot at 24V, has anyone had trouble with it overheating? The valves I use also get hot, but not too much too touch. I have never had any failures so far. So do mine, and I have had failures -- two of them. I made two changes: 1. Used thermal epoxy to attach a ...

Re: Power supply options
Scratch that brick power supply. One of the reviewers tested their supply with a programmable load and found it collapsed around 4.5A, which isn't a huge surprise given how cheap chinese stuff gets spec'd. Ended up ordering a Meanwell LRS-150-24 and will just make a cover for it. No sense cheaping ...

Re: FAQ: Where to get cheap stencils?
PCBWay now offers nickel-electroplated stencils. If you've never used one, try it. They are massively easier to clean if you're using no-clean ("can't clean") paste instead of water soluble paste -- and they don't clog like unplated steel stencils. Unfortunately I haven't yet found a water...

Re: Better nozzle with auto change?
I also have tried a Samsung CP40 nozzle + holder from China; but in my case there were severe problems with vacuum leakage in the holder itself. How is your experience with the holder in terms of that? Would you mind sharing the source for (just for the holder) or would you sell one holder independ...

Yeah, the marker is not such an attractive option when you've got a reel of 4000 components.

Re: Clear Tape is driving me nuts!
I am finding it very difficult to get a set of filters that consistently find the holes in clear tape. I have great success with Homing, Fiducials, Black Tape, etc, etc. Clear tape is driving me nuts! Any tips or hints? You have to look for the part in the pocket instead of the holes. FWIW I stoppe...
