I didn't have any suitable replacement here, but I had some 12V relays. So I put together a small circuit to drive the relay from the tinyg and control the solenoid that way, it worked out great.
I did a test assembly of a card now and it works pretty good, still needs some tuning.

Re: My building Experiance.
The FET for the vacuum pump is stuck close. It's not fully closed so the pump just idles away then "rev's" up when the fet gets powered. I will replace it soon but for now it still works as needed. I have the same issue with both the vacuum pump and the solenoid. When I measure the voltag...

Problem with vacuum
Hi. So I have a problem after building the machine. When I run pickup the vacum is turned on part picked up, but it never deactivates the solenoid. When measuring the voltage across the solenoid pins it's 24 volt when activated but when deactivated it measures 8 volt??? Any suggestions, I guess it's...

I did it
The kit was brilliant! Everything fitted and instructions where good. It seems like I had a temporary case of color blindness, since I manage to swith around n.o and n.c wires on the needle pickup limit switch. This produced very strange results when trying to home the Z axis (would home first time,...

Re: Trays and Jiggs
Im kind of new to 3d printing, and you were correct, it was impossible to get the interlocking feature tight enough. So I ended up printing a holder with the different parts I needed. I also use different atmegas on my cards, and they come on trays. So I made a track for single ic's with correct spa...

Trays and Jiggs
So I have just recently ordered the Liteplacer, but I think I have the correct understanding of it's operation. I have been using a manual low cost pick&place machine for a long time and I 3d printed some trays that holds the smd tape in place for easier picking up with the needle. There is noth...

Re: Re-initialisation
The workflow danmcb is visualising is exactly what I am looking for. We make very small batches of compact pcbs on-demand for use in internal systems (a few different designs, and always some time between each build so that I can't make it "from memory"). Today workflow is that pcbs are de...

Re: Placement of integrated circuits
Just order a kit for myself, and see support for this cheap trays as a great advantage.
Most of the IC's I get is delivered on this kind of trays anyways.
