Figured out a workaround which got me going again:

You will need to disable driver signing / enable test mode

Open CMD.exe as admin

run:

bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
