Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
Thanks for the file upload. Maybe it is cos you pushed the handle more than it will be pushed during normal operation.... very possible. The first 2 prints, got a lot of test cycles using my hand to press down rapidly. Why is it so wide? The feeder pitch is 12 mm. Indeed I made the lower part 15mm, ...

Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
But now your feeder won't eat thick tapes Agreed, but the good thing about printing (vs casting) is that if a thicker/deeper tape is needed, we can always reprint to fit :).... i.e move the lip up a bit to accommodate the thicker tape (or make the base thinner or provide a deeper channel). I was in...

Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
@wormball I printed out your Litfeeder based on Github files linked above (3D printed using PLA) and after 6 iterations I finally have something that looks like it might work for me(tbc ?). I am still waiting on the compression springs to arrive (Hopefully tomorrow), So I am just testing it manually...

Re: Using OLD Laptop - performance Tip?
Also you can buy used but more powerful computer for reasonable price Finally, managed to upgrade the Laptop to an i5-4570 mini-Tower (=lots of USB ports). 12GB RAM vs 4GB before. Overall, usage seems a lot lot more responsive with fewer 'pauses' than before. (when running a job) The overall CPU us...

Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
So I take it that to advance by 4mm, this is 'controlled' by the head pushing down on the lever, which I presume must be tuned for each feeder to avoid it getting out of sync over time. (Based on the video, I am assuming you are not doing hole recognition for each pick??) I also noticed that the bot...

Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
How is the exact 4mm advancement controlled, using this approach?
(or how is the position of the next component fixed every time?)
I can see how the weight takes up the slack on the tape cover...

Signalling auto-feeders from LitePlacer
It would be nice to have a mechanism to create a signal that lets a feeder know when to advance to the next part. I have seen some discussion about parsing the serial traffic to the TinyG looking for matching GCODE commands, which is fine, but requires additional wiring. (although it should be possi...

Remember LP Window Position on start-up
It would be great if you could add a feature to remember the window position on application start (from the previous session). It should be possible to save the Top & Left position of the main window (in application settings), on the application or Form close event. My preference is to place the...

OK - I will try out the column sorting. I vaguely remember this from the docs, but had forgotten about this functionality.
