Re: OpenPnP v2 - machine configuration collaboration
Hello Thomas, OpenPnP v2 is all I use, and I have made hundreds of boards by this point without much issue (except the blasted YUV cams). You can get my config and more info here: https://inductive-kickback.com/2020/09/openpnp-with-liteplacer-pick-and-place/ Related videos: https://www.youtube.com/w...

OpenPnP Sample Config and Guide
Hello, I've been using my liteplacer with openpnp for a few months and produced many boards successfully. After fielding a number of questions on the process, I've summarized my own HOWTO and posted the machine.xml file as a starting or comparison point. See it/get it at: https://inductive-kickback....

Experiences Using Liteplacer PnP
Hi, I posted a series of videos about my build process but only recently got around to putting something together that shows a bit of the hurdles and test runs I've done. So far, I've produced about 70 boards (6 very different designs) and am in general very happy with the machine. You can see it in...

Re: v-wheel "tire residue"?
I'm not clear on how backlash compensation could help with skew, but I'm glad it helped. In my case, the original problem went away, so it seems it was manufacturing gunk. Main issue now is that the wheels are dust magnets (static, I guess), so I have to use the magic of q-tips periodically to clean...

Clean wiring solution for FETs and decoupling TinyG
Aloha, I designed a solution that simplifies the wiring question a bit, hosting the MOSFETs, flyback diodes, having a way to select between OpenPnP and LitePlacer software etc. You can see it in action in the wiring step video I just uploaded, of my ongoing LitePlacer build series: https://www.youtu...

My build: video highlights part 1
Hello LitePlacer community! So I took the plunge, got a kit and got going. I'm documenting the process, comments and generally chronicling the adventure through video highlights which may be helpful to others. The first two tiny videos are up, and you can check them out at: https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Which components will fail? What spare parts to keep aro
Well, it's a reassuring answer. I won't be using it daily either, but will still be asking a lot from the device. Biggest worries for easy/quick replacement, at this point (i.e. before even powering it up so I don't know), in terms of failing components whether through wear or accident are: drive be...

Re: v-wheel "tire residue"?
Ok, I vote for manufacturing gunk. Have cleaned both the tracks and the groove in the wheels and will keep an eye and report on the situation if it recurs.
Thanks
