LitePlacer and PMF Feeders

I built this LitePlacer a few years ago and has been lightly used over the years. The controller has all the modification to run with OpenPnP. **Sale is for** LitePlacer PnP machine. All parts, cameras, power supply, etc. TinyG controller with updated firmware to support OpenPnP. Controller is updat...

Re: required power supply

I use a Mean Well LRS-150-24. Works great. Never had a problem with it.

A redesign of the upper camera mount

I created a new design of the upper camera that shortens the front profile. I know that the original design has some problems colliding with some feeders.

Re: Is OpenPNP supported?

A late reply. I'm using my LitePlacer with OpenPnP and the TinyG controller. It is working fine. OpenPnP is a complex beast, but once you get it configured correctly it's great. The TinyG will need a firmware update to work properly with OpenPnp to address some commands that OpenPnP requires and an ...

Smaller nozzle for 0402?

I'm going to be working on a project that needs 0402. I use Open PnP and I'm setting up the strip feeders and bottom camera alignment. That all seems to work okay, so far. I am a bit worried about the part size vs the nozzle size. Here's a picture from the bottom camera after the part alignment oper...

Re: FET not behaving as expected

>>The one thing that remains is that when I switch the vacuum pump on, the TinyG would sometimes reset. And now, after more testing, it just resets straight away every time I turn on the vacuum pump in software. Can you share pictures of your wiring? Did you use shielded wiring? All I can think is t...

Re: OpenPnP Sample Config and Guide

I am in the process of migrating my LitePlacer to OpenPnP and I'm now at the point where I can reliably place parts on a PCB. The bottom vision is working well, and part placement is very accurate. I don't think that taking on someone else's machine.xml is really going to work well for you. You need...

Re: Any USB3 cameras to recommend?

Personally, I don't see the need for USB3 capable cameras. Whether using the LitePlacer software or OpenPnP, computer vision is only done on stationary images. FPS is not really important. Concerning USB ports - I don't know what kind of system you're running, but any sort of desktop machine will wo...

Re: Upgrading the LitePlacer's TinyG with silent TMC2209 dri

This weekend I finished installing the TMC2209 TinyG upgrade from AnalysIR. Wow! What a difference! I don't even hear the stepper motors anymore. No more ringing and buzzing when the machine is idle. Assembly and instructions were very straight forward, really no complications there. If you decide t...
