Re: Timeout waiting for response to G21 ; Set millimeters mo

Thanks! Setting 20 s timeout did not help, but with your machine.xml it at least connects. Could have also have been something else with the gcode startup sequence. Also, TinyG isn't great in general, either in the LIterplacer or OpenPnp software. So another one to watch out for in OpenPnp is gener...

Re: Timeout waiting for response to G21 ; Set millimeters mo

Here's my machine configuration, which will serve as a good starting point. I have a standard (Juha shipped) Litepacer machine with TinyG. The only thing is I added a vacuum sensing Actuator, so you'll need to delete the Actuator and amend the gcode PICK/PLACE_COMMAND to just switch the valve and no...

Re: Timeout waiting for response to G21 ; Set millimeters mo

Hello! I am trying to run openpnp with the liteplacer. I set COM7, 115200, 8N1, no parity, no flow control. And when i push "start" button, i get message box saying "Timeout waiting for response to G21 ; Set millimeters mode". However, terminal and liteplacer software work ok wi...

Re: The three most important new features

So openpnp can not set machine limits? Sounds stupid. However the tinyG have $xTN and $xTM commands which i think do the same. It's not too big a deal, unless you Jog manually in the wrong direction, and yes $xTN and $xTM address that. The benefits of OpenPnp over Liteplacer software (in it's curre...

Re: @thereza's ADC patch

I've compiled TinyG Build 440.20 with this patch using Atmel Studio v6.2.1563, so that it's not necessary to recompile it to use the latest supported version of TinyG. It identifies as Build 440.21 once installed, and $adc0 will then return a value. Make sure to copy the output of $$ before updating...

Vacuum Sensing PCBs

I've created some PCBs in Eagle and BOM's for the Vacuum Sensing board referenced in this post: https://www.liteplacer.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=308&hilit=vacuum+sensing&start=40 and this website: https://makr.zone/vacuum-sensor/192/ License is the same as _Markk's for this project ...

Re: The three most important new features

I think this forum is dead as a Dodo..... Really? Well, I posted several questions on this forum about 3D files for tape feeders, no replies. Pm'd a member here about the 3D files of a feeder tray ( sells it on Ebay), one read other still sitting in my outbox, also no replay. I posted something abo...

Re: The three most important new features

I struggle with it taking too much time to get my parts ready. This is fairly common with any pick and place machine. There's some jobs where it's so small, or a one off where the setup time is more than doing it by hand. OpenPNP has a slightly faster workflow for this. Plus, sometimes parts "...

Re: My build

Consider that with these kinds of cameras, the lenses aren’t prefect and also the mounting won’t be (Both the sensor inside the camera, and the mounting of the module on the board). Getting a camera pointing at at a location precisely and squarely 40mm away is virtually impossible. Even rotating the...

Re: Really, not painfull

After many month’s and a hair pulling.... finally in production with OpenPNP, upvision and an accurate machine. Just finished 4 - 1x1 inch high density double sided boards with 75 SMD s (0402), 1 x 144 ball 0.8mm pitch BGA, WSON-6/8’s, USB-C and 0.4mm pitch connectors. Getting phenomenal placement a...
