Re: Really, not painful
I only use OpenPnP now. But just like LitePlacer, there's a learning curve. I found OpenPnP more capable and easier / logical to use (personally), particularly as bottom vision was a requirement for placing 0402's accurately. Yes, it's very important the top of your PCB, your homing mark, and the to...

Re: The three most important new features

There could be any number of reasons... a contract, travelling, concentrating on shipping kits etc. In the meantime, switching to the ...

Re: Vacuum Sensing PCBs
Regarding the vacuum sensor board, are you using the "stock" vacuum pump and solenoid as supplied by Juha? Yes, and just made the the length of tubing to the nozzle a bit longer so I could route the piping over the sensor, then melted a hole in the pipe for the sensor as per the reference...

Re: Timeout waiting for response to G21 ; Set millimeters mo
There were 10 microstep settings in your file, and the machine made horrifying sounds and performed random walks instead of moving. I changed these to 8 microsteps, and now it moves ok. Yes, I use Geckos for X/Y, 10 micro steps is the optimum microstepping ratio for steppers in general, and that's ...
