Re: Better nozzle with auto change?

I used 1.5mm FR4. Just in case you or anyone else reading this isn't already aware, take care when milling FR4. Most FR4 is some form of fiberglass and fiberglass dust may or may not be carcinogenic. The recommended max respirable level is five milligrams per metre cubed and if you know how to meas...

Re: Liteplacer ODrive demo

> Centralising all of the control logic means you've got large bundles of wires Just a minor thing but if you look at the design of the Shapeoko 3, it uses a solid and much larger single beam for the Y axis. This beam gives a significant amount of real estate for mounting control units on the rear. ...

Re: Basic Setup: Failing A Motor and Unable to Set Z Min

With regard to the A motor, it most likely won't turn with the current pot at the very lowest setting. I found that I needed to up it to about 15% / 20%. The idea is to start at the lowest setting and then turn it up to the lowest level that will reliably turn the motor. On the Z-Limit switch, do yo...

Re: Logitech C270 3D printer brackets

Thanks for this Inakto

I've picked up a C270 and will print the brackets tomorrow.

I'm using cable management chains and the USB cable doesn't look like it'll reach through the loops to the Z-axis.

Do you use cable chains? Did you extend the USB cable on the webcam?

thanks

Re: Thoughts about diffuser

I came across this site http://www.cognex.com/ExploreLearn/UsefulTools/LightingAdvisor/ while researching a P&P machine, I can't remember where I found the link. It certainly seems to support your suggestion. I haven't gotten my machine up and running yet (on to the electrical wiring today, what...

Juha

I'm just at the stage of attaching the frame to the table.

It occurred to me that these drawings might be useful to have available in DXF format.

Just a thought.

Re: FAQ:Machine footprint details

With full awareness that this is a newbie disagreeing with the man who designed the machine... :-) Mrandt's suggestion does seem to make sense. I'd definitely be interested in part alignment and intend to evaluate both the Liteplacer software and OpenPNP. That said, I've every faith that this won't ...

Re: Tape Strip Holders

Folks Just saying hello and letting you know you've someone else very interested in this thread. It seems like you have things in hand apart from John VERY selfishly breaking his leg :-) but if there's anything I can do to help drop me a line. I've a 3D printer, a Shapeoko 3 mill and a new Liteplace...
