Re: Software release, 07/09/2018
Hu Juha, Has there been any progress with my request to clear the vacuum pump and vacuum valve status if the TinyG is reset? I occasionally get a 'tried to move while Z not up' error (that is not the exact wording) and I have to reset the TinyG to recover. If I forget to clear the vacuum flags, the ...

Re: Software release, 07/09/2018
Hi Robert,
I don't remember but the part was in the Job Data Table so I probably set the part method to Place Assisted and clicked Place Selected.
Regards,
Les.

Re: Software release, 07/09/2018
Hi Juha, Thanks. I try to give as much detail as I can... Another thing - I just reset the TinyG but Liteplacer thinks the vacuum pump and solenoid are still on when they weren't even though I had restarted the place process. If you see TinyG reset, clear the vacuum flags. Good luck. :) Regards, Les...

Re: Software release, 07/09/2018
Hi Robert, I have tried a few values near -1.0 without the error but 359 fails. It looks like there is a function returning -1 as the standard error value but we want it to be an angle. I hope this helps Juha get to the cause of the problem. I wasn't quite quick enough with my RESET button. Fortunat...

Re: Software release, 07/09/2018
Thanks for the program update. I am getting a "Sloppy programmer error", "Nozzle Calibration value read: value not found". I was getting this on the previous release (28_05_2018) and I noticed the new version so I updated to see if the message went away. It didn't... I have set u...

Re: Panelised board with duplicate designators
My 'crude but effective' solution was to edit the csv file with Notepad. I simply changed 4 x U1 to U1a, U1b, U1c, U1d, etc. There were only 17 parts per board to change. It only took a couple of minutes. I hope it is an easy feature to add. For me, it will be a common problem solved. Would you like...

Panelised board with duplicate designators
I have a panel containing 4 pairs of small identical boards. The designators (U1, R2, etc) are duplicated 4 times. I have fiducials in the tooling strips (borders). My pick and place file is for the whole panel. I was hoping to treat the panel as one single board. When I 'Place All', the machine onl...

Re: Attempt to move while nozzle is down
Ok, I couldn't wait till morning (only 4AM here!). The springs above and below the top bearing are disabled and nozzle hight calibration completed. The collar from the top spring is now about 4mm below the top bearing to limit the pickup tube upward movement. Backoff is now 1.65mm which tells me the...

Re: Attempt to move while nozzle is down
Thanks Stefan. I had seen that post and I had a lot of trouble with my pickup tube originally. I removed the curved spring to reduce the friction - it worked much better after that. However, I just checked and my nozzle adaptor was compressing slightly before the limit switch switched. So, I lowered...

Homing the 'A' axis
Hi, It is easy to home X, Y and Z but how do we 'home' (zero) the A rotation axis? My solution so far (I am new to Liteplacer) is to manually rotate A then reset the TinyG and do another Home. Is there an easier way? If not, could we have an 'A0' button please - possibly in the co-ordinate area that...
