Re: High definition camera update
Does the algorithm "Components by Pads" work with the up-camera. I cannot seem to get it to work at all. I have a diode and I am unable to come up with a way to recognize it with any combination of filters. I can get nice images of the two pads, and they show up as two rectangles. Componen...

Re: High definition camera update
I have installed the new cameras, and did the calibrations. Right now I am stuck on an issue that I cannot seem to resolve. If I click on the image from the down-facing camera, the image does not move to where I clicked. I have tried difference resolutions, but that does not fix the problem. I have ...

High definition camera update
Just received this upgrade kit. I am not finding any instructions for installing. For example, which calibration steps are needed. What should I look out for? Some upgrade notes would be very helpful....

Reset All Tapes
Please remove the button "Reset All Tapes" if not that, at least move it to the "Tape Positions" page. While placing a board yesterday, I needed to hit the "Pause" button, and hit the "Reset All Tapes" by accident. They are right next to each other. There are ...

Re: First panels completed & some experiences with LitePlace
This post inspired me to add a feature request. I suggest instead of having a list of "tape" types: clear, black, paper, etc. A better way would be to just use an index, type 1, 2,3,4, 5, ... And along with that, expand the choices to more index numbers. I already "lie" about the...

Up camera offset / nozzle calibration
On a recent batch of boards that needed building, I decided to give nozzle calibration another try. First, I moved a nozzle to the 'up camera' with a zero rotation and set the 'up camera' offset values. But then, I did a calibration of the nozzle, and captured the results. I then calculated the aver...

moving by mouse click
I did find a bug that you likely already know about, but in case not.....
When you use the mouse to click on a location, the movement is only accurate if the pixels are not shown.

The three most important new features
I recently went for a factory visit to a SMD shop. The professional machines of today are truly amazing. The speed and accuracy are breathtaking. But then I passed through the final inspection station, even with these professional machines, some rework is needed. After that I was feeling better abou...
