Unable to reconnect after an error

Post by Mark81 »

Hi!
I've read through the documentation without find an answer.
I'm checking the limit swithes wiring as suggested:
After activating a tick box, manually trip the switch. You should see blinking red light at TinyG and get a message from the control program. Press reset button and re-establish connection with TinyG.
Ok, I see the red light and a generic error message ("TinyG error. Rewiew the situation and restart if needed."). Anyway the log shows I've actually hit a limit switch.
The problem rises when I click on "Clear Err." to recovery the situation. The log says the serial port is already opened and then appears a timeout for the "sr" command. I attach here a screenshot:

Is it a known behavior? Did I miss something?

After limit switch trigger, TinyG needs a reset. Perhaps I should suggest that in the error message.

Now I understand my mistake. You actually said to "press the reset button" but I understood the button in the software ("clear err") instead of the physical button on the TinyG! My fault!
