Hi,
For placing very small components like 0201 and 01005 the machine should be equiped with "component sensor".
This sensor should be like laser pointer, the laser beam pass down the nozzle, and on the initialization sequence, machine take value from nozzle without component, and after pickup the value of "sensor" should be initialization + component tickness.
Maybe could be useful in future,

The pickup is not the issue. I didn't try 01005s as 0201 failed, but 0201 pickup was reliable, the placement accuracy wasn't quite good enough. We need better calibration methods and perhaps, better cameras. (Maybe also more accurate mechanics, but that is an another machine then.)
