Is it possible to regulate the suction power?

Post by NCI »

Hi,

Is it possible to regulate the suction power? If so, how does it works?

If not, is it possible to change the header of the arm in order to put a different one with a higher suction capability?

Thank you in advance.

No. The suction is rather strong for components, imo. Check that you have about the same at the pump and the large nozzle tip, so that the tube is not pinched. If you still need more, you have to change the pump. If the pump you have doesn’t work properly, I’ll send you a new one. If you suspect that, lets continue by email.

Any vacuum pump should work. I haven’t had a need for more powerful vacuum, so I don’t have any recommendation. The control signal from the system is 3.3V which is boosted to 24V with a FET. You might want a mains relay if your pump is mains powered. You could do with manual control also, there is no intelligence in the pump control: pump is turned on at the start of a job and off at the end.
