y-axis

Looking into the images I saw that y axis is a little more complicated that the one from shapeoko:

is it because you need more space to work on that axis?

In general, almost all design decisions could, in principle, have been done some other way. So, the naive answer is that that's the way I did it. :-)

For this, I don't trust the two motor principle. No real reason, I just don't. Having a driveshaft saves two motor's moving mass, gaining a faster machine. Again, in principle; there are so many things affecting speed, that I'm not sure how much that really gains.
