I just put my belts on my shiny new liteplacer and moved the gantry a few times, just to see that the pullies on the Y-Axle (The long steel tube) were not running round. It made much noise to be fair, and wobbled.
I disassembled it and found that the Pullies had 8.00 mm inside diameter, the tube has 7.80 mm outer dia.
As the Pullies are fastened with two screws, this results in an offcenter-pully.
I took a piece of aluminium foil, which happens to be 0.05 mm thick, two times around the tube, and voila, we have 8.00 mm.
As the bearings also expect 8.00 mm I did the aluminium sheet go through the bearings too.
It is a bit tricky to shove the parts onto the aluminium, but with a bit patience it goes.
Since the bearings did also not sit exact into the steel plate, I fastened them with a drop of superglue.
Result: Round as a ball, no wobbling, no noise
In the picture you can see the shiny aluminium (and the crappy looking superglue )
