LED ring hitting frame

Post by Kurt »

Hi all,

Wondering if anybody can shed any light on the LED ring (excuse the pun) hitting the screw head on the frame, like in the photo attached? Any pointers as to what i might have done wrong?

Second photo is the back view and it seems that the lever of the micro switch doesn't quite make effective contact even when pivoting.

Thank you.

Hi Kurt,

two answers:

a) During use, the machine will never travel all the way to X-max switch (far right) as you set the maximum X in software (machine size). The max limit switch is just there as a precaution.

b) To solve the issue shown in your picture, just use as longer bolt - I also suggest to insert it from the outside of the side plate - see here from Juha's CAD drawing:

Good luck and have fun!

As mrandt said, it is for precaution only. Anyway, attach the bolt from other side of the plate, then it sticks far enough.
