loose components pickup

Post by soren »

when the ic is a little bit turned the liteplacer picks it up and place it like that. Shouldn't it auto correct it to place it like it have to be ? or do you have to allign the red cross from the component with the red cross from the camera everytime ?

Ideally it should move part over up-cam, detect outline and pins and correct for both rotation and any off-centered pickup...

And not only for loose parts but also for ICs or other larger / difficult to place parts from tapes or trays.

This feature has been on the wish list since day 1 I think :-P

Afaik, the "standard" LitePlacer software does not correct rotational error at all; but rmod fork has some features around that.

I only tested it with NQFP a while back and that worked.
