place 0603 from loose

Post by glenenglish »

Hi
Can the machine be set up to place non polarized 0603 (and above) loose components (resistors, ceramic caps) from loose ?
That is, not on tape, floating around in a tray (limit applied could be they must be upright not upsidedown)

regards

There is an option for placing loose components, but the functionality doesn't quite work for this. It currently expects only one component and near a given position. So the answer is no, but it might be reasonably doable to add to the current code a function to search and take any component from a given area.
