I'm trying to define a tape tray with some 0402 components and it seems I've exposed a small bug.
The tape is set as 8/2mm and is located on the right side of the Liteplacer, thus with -X direction.
What happens is that the odd and even components locations on tape are mixed. That is, when going from right to left we have components number 2, 1, 4, 3, 6, 5... and so on.

Actually, it was 3, 2, 5, 4, ... The first one was never picked up. Fixed in todays release.

I was told that the fix is broken. For now, fast placement for 2mm pitch parts (0402s) does not work. 
I'll fix this asap. Until then, use normal placement. Without getting to my lab, I'm guessing that still works. More updates here when available, now heading into the lab.
