Misplaced components

Dear Juha,

We are unable to place components on a PCB:
- The fiducials are correctly localised
- The bias between the nozzle and the camera has been set correctly.
- The components and the holes are correctly localised on the tapes by the camera.
- Pitch and width have been set appropriatly,
But when the nozzle picks the requested component it is not pick at the center and this induces a misplaced component on the board.

Can you provide us with some guidance to solve this issue?

Thanks you

So the issue is at pickup, not at placement. Do you use strip holders? If the parts are not located at table level, all kinds of issues can occur. I'll elaborate (and maybe can give ideas to solve) if this is the case. If not:

The Tape Positions page has an Alignment test feature. Below the table, there is a Part # box and buttons for Show hole and Show part. Do these give accurate results? You said this much, but to double check, the show part should be precise.

Are you using needle correction? The bottom right has some test buttons. The Probe down button tries to put the nozzle down to the spot shown on the camera. If this is not accurate and the error depends on the rotation (A) position, the issue is at nozzle calibration. The Probe (n.c.) does the same, but doesn't use wobble correction (nc = no correction).

These are what I can think about right away. Any more glues that you can give might help, such as is the error constant or random, does it depend on tape direction, is it the same on all components (height, tape type) etc.
