Hi all,

I am getting a CNC_Blockingwrite error when first starting up. Error log is here:

I've also sent the {“sys”:””} command via Cool Term and received the response here:

Code: Select all

{"r":{},"f":[1,102,4,7582]}
{"sr":{"posx":0.000,"posy":0.000,"posz":0.000,"posa":0.000,"feed":0.00,"vel":0.00,"unit":1,"coor":1,"dist":0,"frmo":1,"stat":1}}
Using latest version, Windows 7. Any ideas on what's going on?

Apparently, something broke with the latest software, my apologies! See http://www.liteplacer.com/phpBB/viewtop ... 2642#p2642 for details if interested, but in the meanwhile, you can get started with the previous:
http://www.liteplacer.com/Downloads/Lit ... 0_2016.exe

I'm working on the fix.

Via Coolterm, the response is now:

Code: Select all

{"r":{"sys":{"fb":440.20,"fv":0.970,"hp":1,"hv":8,"id":"3Y2462-RMV","ja":100000,"ct":0.0100,"sl":0,"st":0,"mt":2.00,"ej":1,"jv":2,"js":1,"tv":1,"qv":0,"sv":1,"si":500,"ec":0,"ee":0,"ex":1,"baud":5,"net":0,"gpl":0,"gun":1,"gco":1,"gpa":2,"gdi":0}},"f":[1,0,11,7780]}
I noticed that some of these mismatched the string from the setup page, so I changed them. Still getting blockingwrite error, but here is the sys response via coolterm:

Code: Select all

{"r":{"sys":{"fb":440.20,"fv":0.970,"hp":1,"hv":8,"id":"3Y2462-RMV","ja":100000,"ct":0.0100,"sl":0,"st":0,"mt":300.00,"ej":1,"jv":3,"js":1,"tv":1,"qv":2,"sv":1,"si":200,"ec":0,"ee":0,"ex":1,"baud":5,"net":0,"gpl":0,"gun":1,"gco":1,"gpa":2,"gdi":0}},"f":[1,0,11,769]}

I've just completed re-flashing the 440.2 tinyG firmware.

Here is the reply to {"sys":""}

Code: Select all

{"r":{"sys":{"fb":440.20,"fv":0.970,"hp":1,"hv":8,"id":"3Y2462-RMV","ja":100000,"ct":0.0100,"sl":0,"st":0,"mt":300.00,"ej":1,"jv":3,"js":1,"tv":1,"qv":2,"sv":1,"si":200,"ec":0,"ee":0,"ex":1,"baud":5,"net":0,"gpl":0,"gun":1,"gco":1,"gpa":2,"gdi":0}},"f":[1,0,11,769]}
and here is the reply to {"sr":""}

Code: Select all

{"r":{"sr":{"posx":0.000,"posy":0.000,"posz":0.000,"posa":0.000,"feed":0.00,"vel":0.00,"unit":1,"coor":1,"dist":0,"frmo":1,"stat":1}},"f":[1,0,10,1190]}
These are both via CoolTerm. Still showing Blockingwrite errors, and I've tried multiple previous verions of liteplacer software.

FYI, the fix for this was to force the TinyG COM port to be COM3 (default in Liteplacer SW) in the advanced window serial device properties.

There is a bug in how the current software works with existing serial ports connected to something else than TinyG. I'm currently testing a fix.

Hi,

It seems that on Win10 x64 I have the same bug, using COM3 the software reports similar timeout problem. If I press reset on TinyG, I have a message that TinyG is rebooted, and no message if I switched to COM2 or COM1 port.

The same hardware several months ago worked successfully with Win7 or Visa (I really cannot exactly remember, sorry).

Pictures with my configuration (it if helps to fix the problem) and hardware are available at: http://www.elegant-mathematics.com/LP-Pictures/

I also tried several (not all) previous releases, but all have the same behaviour.

PS: is there possibility to run the software under Linux? I can start it at wine, but it do not see any ports actually.

Please advise me how to fix it?
