Just realized that this might be a problem. The 0805 Yageo caps I bought came in 8mm clear tape.

How is the down camera going to find the holes?

Depending on the light conditions and background, you might get sufficient contrast anyway, the clear tape is not that clear: Please see viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7&p=81 for an example. If not, you might need to apply a thick felt pen to the tape.
