post build, setup and calibrations HOMING

I'm curious of the roughness in the homing of the liteplacer axes. The z axis homes, hits switch backs off, as expected. The X and Y homing is a bit violent. Each axis will be driven to the limit switch, and that gets activated, and then the backing off occurs. It just seems that it is extra shakey and rough. I wouldn't think its normal. My homing speed + accel settings are the defaults as I've not adjusted any numbers yet. Following the documentation, the recommended settings are much greater than these default values. I'm concerned of adjusting these due to what I've witnessed. Any thoughts?

Try adjusting the values. “Good” settings depend somewhat about belt tension and the eccentric spacers tuning. You want the eccentric spacers to have no slack and the homing to be smooth with relatively large acceleration (so that the machine stops before it physically hits anything. I don’t have a chance to get in my office during the weekend to review the default values and the values I’m a actually using. Hopefully someone will chime in with homing values they use.

i figured it out...
reset factory defaults BOTH OF THEM
motors had whack settings.
belts needed tightening.
just need a new rotation motor.
onward and upward, to infinity and beyond...
