Understanding/configuring axis A

Post by aleel5 »

Hi
I don't understand how to set up the axis A (motor 4) on the tab "Basic setup".

For the axis A there are:
Acceleration, Speed (degres/min), Travel per rev. (mm)...

What is the meaning of "Travel per rev"? That axis is for rotate the nozzle, there isn' t a lineal movement. Wich value must I set?

Anyway, pressing F9 or F10, the nozzle turns a bit, but if I press twice the nozzle spin forever and a popup shows "CNC_A :Timeout...". After this I must reset the tinyg.

How I can solve this issue?

Thanks

The units are in degrees. The pulleys reduce the travel. For one full turn on the motor, the nozzle rotates (“travels”) 160 degrees, so you put 160 in the box. (I’ll make a note to clarify this in the software)

To fix the issue, please send text $aam=1 to TinyG.
