How to place tall components

Post by aleel5 »

Hi,

I'm trying to place tall components, like some electrolytic capacitors but, when the nozzle touch the cap and the its lower limit switch is activated, the tinyG stops until a reset is performed.
This occurs only if the capacitor is in a tape, but works fine as loose component.
There are no problems placing short components.

How I can solve this issue for the capacitors?

Thanks

If it works as a loose conponent, your probing function works. Most likely, the tape height measurements are off. Try to select the tape and reset the z’s. This forces the system to re-measure the part next time it is used.
