Hello All,

I have been working on an open source feeder design for my LitePLacer machine in my spare time for several years and now think I have it cracked. I'm currently writing up the design to put as open source on instructables.

The feeders include: 8mm / 12mm / 16mm tape width support, multi-node RS485 control, film removal, reel holder, IR feedback for Feed without PC control.

The design is currently available for sale here if anyone is interested.

I have also edited the main LitePlacer software to allow the feeders to be controlled from software without relying on the IR feedback.

All the code will be released here on my GitHub site as it becomes stable.

I’m interested in this. It looks like an interesting solution. I’ve been working on a close stacking system that is designed to be low cost, mechanically simple and durable. I just haven’t got as far as you.

Can anything be done to decrease the width of the slices so they can stack closer together?
