Vacuum switch

On the schematic LP_Vac_Wiring.jpg, there is a switch labeled "Adj. Vac. SW." between the Spin pin of the TinyG and the mosfet for the vacuum pump. What is the purpose of this switch?
Looks like someone's modification....
