Re: How do you handle SOIC chips from tubes?
Currently I move them from the tube to a 3D printed, custom tray. If I needed larger volumes, I'd try to replicate Brian's vibratory feeder: https://www.briandorey.com/post/diy-pick-and-place-v2-vibratory-chip-feeder Nice idea, but what happens with the last remaining chip from a tube? As far as I ...

Re: SMD Parts Tray Shoot Out: Who's the Winner?
I am now attaching the strip holders directly to the table top - without the index pins at the bottom, obviously :-D Hello Malte, I am using your holder WITH index pins. I drilled a full grid of holes using a 3d printed drill template leading to 4 rows with 3 of your trays. This leads to very repro...

Re: Ramdomly placed component pick capability
While testing the vision functions I tried to write a function that can pick a C or R from a set of loose parts. To start with the result: yes it can be done :D So far I was successful picking up Cs (0603) and RGB Leds (WS2812/5050). Rs are still a little bit unreliable. short sketch of steps: Step ...

Re: TinyG USB goes on and off if I move an axis by hand
Stepper motors are very good generators and if you turn them too fast you can produce high voltages that can eventually destroy your TinyG. Some drivers have protection circuit. I don't know if the ones used in tinyG have such a protection. If you look at the board while you move the stepper you can...

Re: Better nozzle with auto change?
Slip out? Never happened to me yet. I wrote a nozzle exercise loop to verify the programmed load and unload movements and regularly change nozzles during pnp operation. Until now the changer works like a charm! But I have an other auto change problem: If I leave a nozzle attached to the adapter for ...

Re: Table Options
 Have you ever tried to drill stainless steel? I would not recommend using such a table because you need to set several holes to fix the machine not to mention the hole for the up looking camera. Malte has shown a nice table here in the forum and I for myself am using a cheap small sized w...

Re: Searching for better cameras
After the original juha down camera turned out to be cross-eyed at more than 5° because the camera chip mount inside was loose and moved when you moved the cable, I replaced the camera by an other 10mm HD camera. That also had a defect after some weeks of use. It started to blink the image and show ...

Re: Small move speed - why is it necessary?
I am not directly using your software but a modified version of Reezas mod where I just left most of the CNC methods the way you or Reeeza programmed them.
I just compared your code and it ist certainly handling slow speed in a different mannar.

Small move speed - why is it necessary?
@Juha: Using a 3d printer and a CNC mill for many years I wonder why you implemented the small movement speed because my other machines don't have to do this. Better they should not do this. Especially on long x and short y (or vice versa) it is quite annoying that the machine does not move diagona...
