User feedback of the machine

Post by xyz »

Hey ,
Can any of the users give me a feedback of the Pick and Place machine? I am interested in picking up and placing ICs very accurately.

Even I am interested in the same. If anyone who has purchased the machine can tell me more about its accuracy and precision. I want to use it for assembling components on PCB very accurately(both orientation and position very precise) . Also if the administrator can elaborate how the machine works for low pitch components or ICs which needs to be inserted in pre defined slot with extreme precision and orientation and cannot be placed randomly on a fixed location.

No one outside the company has machines yet. I'm more anxious than you are to hear real customer feedback. :-)

For small pitch IC placement, please see http://www.liteplacer.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=15. The beginning of that thread tells where the system is now and where it is going in the near future.

I'm not sure I understand your need. Do your requirement somehow differ from a normal pick and place function, where parts are taken from a defined(1) position and placed on the PCB and a defined(2) position?

1: Defined by tape location, located optically from a loose part pickup position or (to be introduced) taken from a corner jig or tray.
2: Defined by the pick and place file, anywhere on the board at any rotation.
