Welcome.
In the first case, you're right, that's how it works.
But I asked about ploopyco ...
This works differently. First, press the lever, and then download the item elsewhere.
Regards.

Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
Oh...I thought 'ploopyco' was a translation error & didn't realize it was another feeder system!
So the only thing I can think of is to insert a 'dummy' nozzle change somehow & use the nozzle change logic to press the lever.
It might also be possible to insert a dummy component that gets placed (not really) at the lever. (before the actual component is picked) Pick it up anywhere (close to the target lever) and set the place position & height as required for the lever. (or similar)
Otherwise, consider inserting the required logic into the source code, when a feeder is used.

True for now, not for long. Good thing of the virus is that being in quarantine, I'll have more time for software development.wormball wrote:I think it is impossible with the current liteplacer software, and you have to use openpnp instead.Krzys wrote:How to set up liteplacer to download elements from a ploopyco ... device?
He must first press the lever and then download the element.
Can it be done on Liteplacer?

Hi,
How did you configure the Liteplacer software so that it can position the feeder and pick up the component?
Thank you for your help,
Chris

Hello!
You have to set the coordinates manually as you were setting regular tape, but set pitch to 0 and set "use coordinates directly". I placed my feeders outside the camera's field of view, so adjusting the coordinates was a pain mostly due to the software bug. https://liteplacer.com/phpBB/viewtopic. ... 9755#p9755 Maybe it is fixed now, i do not know since i am not using the machine for a long time.

Re: Semi-automatic passive printable/castable feeder
Hey guys,
I bought the lite placer a few months back and have been keen to get a feeder system working, I really love the simplicity of no additional software, really inspirational! Bought a printer over the weekend and just got it up and running, so will be working it hard tomorrow.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for all the effort everyone has put into the feeder design.
Cheers,
Muzz.

The Ploopy feeders are theoretically available as a prefabricated kit for about $13 CAD (looks like they made a injection molded version from the pictures), Out of stock as of today 8/10, but maybe temporary

FYI: The photos look like 3D prints & the description on the linked page confirms that. The Ploopy feeders are theoretically available as a prefabricated kit for about $13 CAD (looks like they made a injection molded version from the pictures), Out of stock as of today 8/10, but maybe temporary
