required power supply

Post by marcoN »

Hello. As a research institute we are interested in buying a liteplacer from one of your distributors. On the website of the distributor (https://www.robotics-3d.com/hobbystica/ ... chine.html) it is mentioned that PSu is not included in the kit and that a 24V >5A power supply is needed. I have some difficutly of finding PSU with 24V dc providing more than 5A. Most 24V switching PSUs I found come with 5A max current. Is 5A max current still sufficient ?

I'm not actually sure what the real current requirement is. The control board has adjustable current limit, and that affects the maximum speed the machine can run. So, you can use 5A supply. You might find some limitation in maximum acceleration, though.

I use a Mean Well LRS-150-24. Works great. Never had a problem with it.
