I guess I don't know if this is a software question, hardware question, or a feature request.
We get some of our parts in trays. We currently place them in the loose part area, but they are not actually loose. How can we make use of the trays, because, in theory, they should be just like a tape of components.
Here are a couple pictures of 2 different components that come in trays. The ruler is just for reference. If you need actual measurements (or any other info), please let me know.
Placing A Tray Of Parts
Re: Placing A Tray Of Parts
We received some more parts in trays today.
The TSOP-40 flash chip that we had previously received in a tape/reel came in a tray this time. We noticed that they tray is much "tighter" than the tape. By that, I mean that there is a lot less slop for the chip to be out of alignment inside of the tray (compared to the tape).
How can we use the trays to have the LitePlacer grab these ICs?
