Homing weirdness

Post by lfkeyboards »

Was hitting a problem where all parts placements were about Y+1mm. After much frustration what found is that after parking, my home location is off by about X0.1mm, Y1.1mm. This is repeatable after every home>park>move 0, 0. Whats really weird is that subsequent park>move 0,0 everything stays the same, its only that first home>park that causes problems.

I'm getting acceptable results now that I do a park after every single re-home.

Any ideas whats going on here?

The Y axis displacement is huge, in relative terms. Do check the screws on pulleys on the drive shaft and on the coupler. For X, I recently started to see similar issue. I don't know why it would be like that, maybe the belt itself or the belt end fixtures need a few tugs to settle? Anyway, I have a workaround. It is not very elegant, but might help.
